Receiving the Safety Excellence Award from BP is a testament to the hard work and diligence of our entire team. Each member of the PFL team has contributed to this accomplishment, and we are extremely proud of all our employees who consistently prioritize safety in their daily activities.
 
Moreover, this recognition would not have been possible without the invaluable partnership and collaboration we have with BP. About the project:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n


PFL was tasked with loading off-spec Natural Gasoline from pressure cars that were previously loaded with propane and or butane into regular liquid trucks. Because the railcars last contained LPGs, they had higher pressure than is typical for Natural Gasoline (between 40 and 120 pounds of pressure). Since liquid trucks can only withstand a maximum of a few pounds of pressure, PFL had to get creative.
 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What did we do?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Loaded the off-spec product from a pressure railcar into a pressure truck.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • In a closed-loop system, we performed vapor recovery on the pressure truck to push vapors back into the railcar and bring the truck down to 0 PSI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Once the liquids were isolated with no pressure, we loaded the off-spec product from the pressure truck into a liquid truck for shipment to a blending terminal As we celebrate this achievement, we remain steadfast in our commitment to further enhancing our safety practices and delivering exceptional results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
