This week, oil prices were also buoyed by a U.S. decision to blacklist a trading subsidiary of Russia's Rosneft, which President Donald Trump's administration said provided a financial lifeline to Venezuela's government. This move will curtail more Venezuelan crude from the international market. For now, the market seems to be pricing in the possibility that we will get back to normal quicker from the virus impact, which will be very bullish for crude demand. WTI traded up $1.24 or 2.38% to close at $53.29.
