This comprehensive dataset reflects CP&#8217;s commitment to elevated reporting practices and reinforced environmental, social, and governance measures. Significantly, CP has taken a significant stride by reporting its complete Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions, a critical endeavor in understanding the ecological impact of CP&#8217;s operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Key Highlights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social Contributions and Impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the calendar year 2019, CP raised a substantial $640,000 to provide support to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpr.ca\/en\/media\/cp-spin-for-a-veteran-raises-500k-building-five-more-homes-for-homeless-veterans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Homes for Heroes Foundation. <\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They prioritized diversity and inclusion by providing comprehensive training to 2,700 employees on creating a respectful and inclusive workplace. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additionally, an additional 1,496 employees received training on Indigenous cultural awareness. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CP demonstrated its commitment to supporting veterans by hiring 126 US and Canadian veterans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Keith Creel, the President and CEO of Canadian Pacific, emphasized the company&#8217;s unwavering dedication to ethical and responsible operations, considering the well-being of employees, customers, communities, and shareholders. He stated, &#8220;CP is resolute in our sustainability approach, striving to meet the needs of our key stakeholders and the broader environment.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safety<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>CP achieved a commendable feat by maintaining the lowest Federal Railroad Administration reportable train accident frequency for the 14th consecutive year. Through the implementation of their Home Safe Program in 2016, CP successfully reduced employee personal injuries by 23%, as reported by the FRA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Operations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1990, CP has achieved a remarkable 43% improvement in locomotive fuel efficiency. They realized a 5% increase in intermodal traffic, resulting in an additional revenue ton-mile freight volume of 1.3 billion.
